Role Purpose
The Corporate Director of Quality is responsible for defining, implementing, and overseeing the organization's quality management systems (QMS), ensuring that products and services adhere to regulatory, safety, and customer standards. This role leads continuous improvement initiatives, manages compliance activities, and promotes a culture focused on quality throughout all business units. The Director provides strategic quality leadership and ensures adherence to IATF16949, ISO9001, and customer-specific requirements.
Major Responsibilities and Activities

Cultivate a zero-defect approach through effective problem-solving techniques.

Design and apply methods that dramatically lower the cost associated with poor quality (COPQ).

Guide regional quality managers by providing clear directions.

Strategy & Policy: Formulates and implements broad quality and business strategies.

Compliance & Audit: Maintains conformity with industry standards (such as ISO and IATF) and oversees both internal and external audits.

Continuous Improvement: Drives organizational change utilizing tools like CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) and root cause analysis to minimize waste and enhance process effectiveness.

Risk Management: Detects potential risks and enacts preventative actions to uphold company reputation and safety.

Leadership & Culture: Mentors and develops quality teams while nurturing an organizational culture centered on quality and high performance. Offers strategic advice to the organization.

Quality Management System (QMS) Oversight: Establishes, enforces, and sustains all quality policies, procedural guidelines, and documentation controls.

Supplier Quality Management: Works closely with supply chain partners to assess vendors, perform audits, and verify supplier compliance.

Performance Metrics: Tracks key performance indicators, analyzes quality data, and delivers insightful reports to leadership to support ongoing improvement.

Ensure compliance with the Standard Launch and APQP Processes according to customer specific requirements and Woodbridge QMS.
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications, Formal Education, Certification or Equivalent

15+ years of progressive leadership experience in quality assurance/control, preferably in a regulated manufacturing environment.

SQA Experience preferable.

Deep knowledge of regulatory standards and quality methodologies.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

Excellent communicational skills for cross-functional collaboration.

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or quality management; a Master’s degree is preferred.

Certifications: ASQ Certified Quality Manager (CQM/OE) or Six Sigma Black Belt is highly desired.

Technical Skills: Deep expertise in root cause analysis (RCA), FMEA, and statistical process control (SPC).

Soft Skills: Exceptional influencing and negotiation skills to drive change in a matrixed environment.
