Role Purpose Summary:
The Learning and Development Specialist will play a key role supporting the Talent Development strategy of the Company by ensuring that effective learning programs are identified, sourced and delivered across Woodbridge on a global basis. This role will be responsible for reporting and analyzing talent management, development and learning data across the organization to identify meaningful trends and required actions. Interacting with global HR and business stakeholders the Learning and Development Specialist will seek to understand learning needs, align those needs with the overall strategy and work with vendors and internal resources to implement learning solutions through the organization’s Learning Management System (LMS).
Major Responsibilities and Activities:
Job Responsibilities
- Interface with business stakeholders at all levels to identify, align and deploy learning and development solutions to meet the business needs and the talent development strategy objectives
- Ensure LMS content and delivery methods meet industry best practices for both adhoc/individualized programming as well as company-wide programs.
- Create learning content, curriculum and materials in conjunction with Senior Manager, Talent and Engagement and other Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to meet learning program objectives.
- Monitors training evaluations and makes recommendations in response to learner feedback.
- Monitors LMS system and provides administrative and analytical support to ensure effective reporting of strategic Learning Metrics and training mandates.
- Identify, communicate and deploy solutions for needed continuous improvements, provide feedback on utilization, data discrepancies and recommended enhancements to process or LMS platform usage.
- Establishes easy-to-use reporting guides for HR Community, in order to support training completion on-time.
- Provide LMS training to new Users ensuring a seamless User Experience.
- Coordinates and schedules training programs, working closely with participants, facilitators and vendors to ensure smooth learning experiences for teammates.
- Interface with vendors, HR Operations team and IT team to ensure effective upload of learning content in the LMS within the IT governance model.
Financial/Legal responsibilities
- Support the development of learning and development budgets
- Conduct vendor pricing research and support vendor engagements within the scope of allocated L & D budget
Managerial/Supervisor responsibilities
- No direct or indirect reports
Health, Safety and Environment responsibilities
- Responsible to work safely in an office environment and support healthy work environment
- Responsible to report any work-related injuries or hazards in a timely manner
Qualifications and Experience Required
Educational Qualification or Certificates
- Related Post-Secondary Degree
- Adult Learning Certificate (or similar) strongly preferred
Working Experience
- 7-10 years of directly related learning and development experience.
- Demonstrated experience creating learning and e-learning programs/content based on adult learning principles
- Demonstrated experience with Success Factors LMS module, LMS implementation experience preferred.
- Experience working in a global capacity is strongly preferred
Additional Qualifications
- Strong understanding of competency-based models, along with ability identify gaps and possible solutions
- Advanced command of Excel – pivot tables, V-Look Up, data analysis and reporting capabilities
- Strong command of Microsoft Office Tools to support presentations and communication
