Role Purpose
This role serves as the Business Unit Operations Finance Leader for the Particle Foam Business Unit (US & Canada), responsible for driving financial performance, strengthening plant finance governance, and providing strategic and operational decision support to business leadership.
The position owns the planning, performance management, and pricing finance framework of the Business Unit, ensuring financial discipline, margin protection, and working capital efficiency across sites. Acting as a key business partner to Operations and Commercial leadership, the role translates financial data into actionable insights, supports growth and profitability initiatives, and ensures consistency in financial standards, controls, and reporting across the region.
Compensation Data
The expected salary range for this position is $115,000 to $130,000 per year, depending on qualifications, skills, and experience.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Performance Leadership
- Lead the annual budgeting process, quarterly forecasts, and long-term financial planning for the Business Unit.
- Consolidate, analyze, and present monthly financial results, including key performance drivers, risks, and opportunities.
- Drive performance improvement by identifying cost, margin, and cash flow levers across sites.
- Monitor and analyze revenue trends, operating costs, and working capital metrics to improve financial outcomes.
Plant Finance Governance & Controls
- Provide functional leadership and guidance to Plant Controllers to ensure consistent financial practices and adherence to corporate standards.
- Review and evaluate plant costing systems to ensure accuracy of product costing and standard costing integrity.
- Strengthen internal controls, financial processes, and reporting discipline across all Business Unit locations.
- Support and oversee internal and external audit activities and regulatory compliance requirements.
Business Partnering
- Act as a key finance partner to Plant Managers and Business Unit leadership, supporting operational decision-making and performance improvement.
- Partner with Operations to analyze production performance, cost drivers, and efficiency opportunities.
- Work closely with Commercial teams to evaluate program profitability and support customer negotiations from a financial perspective.
Pricing & Margin Strategy
- Lead regional pricing finance strategy, including development and governance of pricing guidelines.
- Support pricing negotiations and evaluate financial impact of pricing actions.
- Monitor raw material cost movements and ensure accurate tracking and recovery mechanisms with customers.
- Analyze pricing effectiveness and contribution margins to enhance profitability.
Financial Systems & Process Improvement
- Develop and enhance financial models, dashboards, and reporting tools to improve visibility and decision-making.
- Drive continuous improvement in budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes.
- Identify and implement system and process enhancements to improve financial efficiency and data integrity.
Strategic & Growth Support
- Perform financial evaluations of new programs, investments, and business initiatives.
- Support development of business cases and funding strategies.
- Provide financial insights to support strategic planning and growth opportunities.
Qualifications
Education & Certification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
- Professional designation (CPA, CMA, CA, or equivalent) strongly preferred.
- MBA or advanced business education is an asset.
Experience
- 8–10+ years of progressive finance experience in a process-based or manufacturing environment.
- Strong background in standard costing, plant finance, and operational financial analysis.
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and performance management at a multi-site or business unit level.
- Exposure to pricing analysis, margin management, or commercial finance support.
- Experience working within a corporate finance environment is an asset.
Technical Competencies
- Advanced knowledge of manufacturing accounting and standard costing.
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
- Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel/reporting tools.
- Solid understanding of internal controls, compliance, and audit requirements.
Leadership & Behavioral Competencies
- Strong business partnering capability with Operations and Commercial teams.
- Ability to influence and lead in a matrix organization without direct authority.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, including executive-level reporting.
- Results-oriented with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
