SUMMARY – This position is responsible for controlling the scheduling, production and preparing for shipment the plant product.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Employee may be required to work overtime on a daily or weekend basis.
- Supervise the warehouse functions.
- Take disciplinary action when required
- Inventory – Maintain inventories at agreed upon levels as set by material management. Serve as team leader during physical inventories. Assist in data entry of inventory as required. Perform cycle counts as necessary to identify inventory problems and lead corrective actions (8D) to correct the same.
- Performance Reports – Produce performance reports, monitor customer performance reports as required and develop corrective actions (8D) and or challenge as necessary.
- Maintain and post employee’s attendance point record system
- Report and track employee’s vacation
- Check and report employee’s time
- Report for Lean MFG, 5S, Kaizens techniques for continuous improvement in all facets of their job function.
- Understand HSE & TS16949 procedures and ensure teammates are following procedures
- Understand BIC Key performance indicators and implement corrective actions to meet or exceed BIC 75
- Understand Lean and implement 5S and Kaizens within department
- Ensure good communications across shifts, departments
- Participate in problem solving, VSM, Kaizen projects
- Implement SOT’s, standard work
- Audit for standard work, quality, understanding HSE
- Train, disqualify, qualify, and audit performance on teammates
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position currently has hourly employees within the department.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in warehouse/materials.
