PURPOSE: To perform all duties, as needed for the Maintenance department.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Strong planning skills, able to hand conflicting priorities, experienced in managing/supervising.
- Provide overall direction, training and supervision to maintenance staff and outside suppliers.
- Establish schedules and priorities for equipment repair, machine installations.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance and repair of foam line and flame equipment.
- Implement, maintain, and revise Preventive Maintenance (PM) program.
- Maintain computerized program of work orders, tools, equipment and supplies on ITS system.
- Liaison with other mangers/supervisors to address departmental concerns.
- Administers and complies with company safety regulations and policies.
- Promotes teamwork and cooperation.
- Plan, budget, schedule, and co-ordinate capital projects.
- Responsible for 5Q’s and promoting the use and implementation of Lean tools such as the WPS, TWI, Book Club, 5S, etc.
- Any other duties as assigned by Operations Manager and/or Plant Manager.
- This position will manage HS&E elements and need to comply with each of them.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering and 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing/ process environment in maintenance process or manufacturing functions.
Experience:
- Good verbal and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of SPC and automotive quality standards, statistical experiments, metering pumps, sensors
and transducers, hydraulic and pneumatic systems. - Lean tools training.
- Excellent computer skills (Spread sheet, Auto Cad etc.)
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Leadership skills and interpersonal skills with the ability to share and transfer knowledge and skills to / with others.
- Dependable and self-motivated individual with good attendance / disciplinary and safety record who can work effectively with minimal supervision.
- Detail orientated individual with excellent thinking and trouble-shooting skills; able to make decisions based on information and analysis.
- Ability to work weekends, alternate shifts and flex hours as required.
- Some math and computer skills are essential to perform job duties.
