SUMMARY:

This position may be assigned to operate the inspection machine, perform the dock audit of finished goods being loaded for customers as well as product & process audits throughout our whole organization.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Follow all general safety regulations and use the provided safety equipment as required. See JSA & PDA for this position for detailed safety instructions.
  • Understand HS&E requirements, IATF 16949 requirements and the Quality Policy. Always follow work instructions and procedures as established through SOTs and SOPs.
  • Ability to read and follow instructions
  • Must read and interpret specifications, production orders
  • This position may be required to work daily and/or weekend overtime
  • Ability to interface with other departments
  • Ability to operate test equipment (ruler, dial thickness gage) proficiently
  • In some cases, physical capacity, such as strength and good eyesight may be required
  • Ability to properly record data
  • Basic knowledge of equipment, materials, products, processes
  • Ability to communicate finding to others
  • Keep the area neat, organized, and clean as well as follow 5S principles as appropriate.
  • Cross train in other positions as required.
  • Assist Quality Engineers with investigation and evaluation of quality issues
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed by the employee’s supervisor.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

Less than high school education; or up to one-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Some computer skills to enter data and print needed paperwork. 

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and interpret documents and training materials such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills are required.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide. Basic math skills are required

 

 

 

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, basic written or oral instructions.  Ability to apply basic problems solving skills as situations dictate.

WORK SCHEDULE:

Standard work hours will consist of eight hours per day, five days per week on an assigned shift.

 

Schedule hours may be altered as required by business conditions. This may be more (or less) than eight hours per day or five days per week. An ability to work overtime or irregular hours to include Saturdays, Sundays and holidays is essential for this position.

 

EQUIPMENT USED:

While performing the job in this position, the employee will be using a tape measure, a dial thickness gage and any other tool required by a specific assignment.
