Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

The duties of the Reticulation Operator include, but are not limited to the following: 

  • Obtains written and verbal instructions from lead operator and/or supervisor for job instruction. 
  • Comply with Work instruction for the Reticulation Operator WOL (CHT-PRD-D-009). 
  • Operator must have a forklift license. 
  • Inspection for forklift required daily.   
  • Checks all emergency stop palm buttons, light curtains and other e-stop sources daily. 
  • Emergency check list shall be documented daily.  
  • There shall be a daily inspection of the Reticulation Chamber. 
  • Must be able to identify correct blocks of foam to be reticulated. 
  • Shall follow loading and unload procedures for the Reticulation Chamber.  
  • Report production, scrap, consumption and downtime using CMS production screen or report to supervisor. 
  • Comply with Scrap and consumption Goal 
  • Notifies the shift supervisor or maintenance of any unusual problems during operation.  
  • Operates the Reticulation Chamber to the established Safety and Environmental procedures provided by the Reticulation SOT’s.  
  • Cross training in other positions as required.  
  • Follow all general safety regulations and use all the provided safety equipment as required. (PPE)  
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance.  
  • Practice and maintain 5’s philosophy by maintaining area/equipment clean, well-ordered, and organized by completion of Kamishibai cards. Achieving the goal assigned daily. 
  • Promotes teamwork & cooperation by using the Lean tools, WPS, TWI, 5’s, TPM, etc., as well as support and promote the participation of the Natural Work Teams.  Drive 1 NWT/5Q and 2 kaizens per quarter  
  • Follow up quality alerts and specific instructions for non-routine tasks 
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by shift supervisor. 

                                                                                                                

Qualifications 

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, memos and able to write simple correspondence.  
  • Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills  
  • Basic computer skills (MS Excel, Word, Outlook, WOL)  
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   
  •  Certified on 3 different level 1 positions 
  • Good Attendance  
  • Ability to understand work instructions, job descriptions, SOT’s, 5’s scores, Kaizen, Safety Rules and escalation paths. 
  • Forklift License required.

 

Education / Experience 

  • Minimum High School graduate or equivalent.   
  • Good communication skills, verbal and written. 
  • Certified on 3 different level 1 positions. 
  • Foam 101 
  • CMS 101
