HR Administrator
The Human Resources Administrator provides administrative and operational support for Human Resources functions, including recruiting, onboarding, employee records management, benefits administration, HRIS maintenance, attendance tracking, timekeeping, payroll support, and employee relations activities. This position serves as a primary point of contact for employees and visitors while ensuring confidentiality, accuracy, compliance, and excellent customer service in all HR-related processes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Reception and Administrative Support
- Manage visitor and front desk traffic, incoming calls, and general inquiries.
- Greet visitors and ensure proper sign-in procedures are followed.
- Maintain confidentiality of employee, applicant, and company information.
- Provide administrative support to the HR Department as needed.
Recruiting and Onboarding
- Coordinate full-cycle recruiting activities for temporary and temp-to-hire positions, including candidate screening, interview scheduling, offer letter preparation, and pre-employment requirements including background checks, drug screens, physicals, and employment eligibility documentation.
- Process new hire paperwork and HRIS entries.
- Conduct new hire orientation and onboarding activities.
- Coordinate employee badge creation and onboarding communications.
Employee Records and HRIS Administration
- Maintain employee personnel files and ensure records are complete, accurate, and audit ready.
- Maintain employee information within HRIS systems, including demographic changes, job changes, reporting relationships, and employment status updates.
- Ensure compliance with company record retention policies and applicable employment regulations.
- Generate routine HR reports and maintain employee data spreadsheets and tracking logs.
Benefits Administration
- Administer employee benefit programs and assist employees with benefit enrollment, changes, and inquiries.
- Coordinate annual open enrollment activities.
- Serve as liaison between employees and benefit providers.
- Maintain accurate benefits records and supporting documentation.
Attendance, Timekeeping, and Payroll Support
- Administer attendance tracking and point system processes.
- Maintain attendance records and communicate attendance concerns to supervisors and management as appropriate.
- Enter vacation, PTO, and other approved leave requests into the timekeeping system.
- Audit time records for accuracy and resolve discrepancies prior to payroll processing.
- Distribute time reports to supervisors for review and approval.
- Support payroll processing activities and ensure timely submission of payroll-related information.
Training and Compliance
- Assist with training compliance tracking and documentation.
- Maintain HS&E Element 9 - Medical Assessment and Element 11 - First Aid and Bloodborne Pathogens.
- Support HR compliance initiatives and audits.
Employee Engagement and Events
- Assist with employee recognition programs, community involvement activities, and plant events.
- Coordinate employee meetings, lunches, celebrations, and special events as assigned.
- Support employee communication efforts and engagement activities.
General HR Support
- Provide administrative support for a variety of Human Resources functions.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling employee and company information.
- Assist with HR programs, communications, reporting, and special projects.
- Support employees and management by responding to routine inquiries and directing questions to appropriate resources.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Experience working with HRIS, payroll, and timekeeping systems preferred.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating procedures, employee policies, and training materials.
- Ability to write routine reports, correspondence, and other business communications.
- Ability to effectively communicate with employees, supervisors, managers, vendors, and visitors.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, including percentages, ratios, and attendance calculations.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Two (2) years of Human Resources, administrative, payroll, benefits, recruiting, or related experience preferred.
- Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience may be considered.

- Successfully achieve annual performance goals and objectives.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
